Workplace

For 40 years, Amgen has championed a spirit of innovation that has contributed to our longevity as a leading biotechnology company – providing for patients in more than 100 countries around the world. Our nearly 23,000 employees work every day to ensure we serve every patient, every time.

In order to fulfill our mission, our employees work collaboratively with a mutual trust and respect to push the boundaries of science to deliver new therapies and medications to our patients. This includes fostering a culture that is welcoming and inclusive of diverse ideas and unique perspectives.

As we constantly push our employees to innovate and improve, we must also do so as a company. Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) is a leading business priority for Amgen. Our goal is to increase the percentage of women in leadership globally and minority representation in the United States.  We have worked to deploy several programs and strategies to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace for our staff and maximize opportunities for their development.  As with our aspiration to be the best human therapeutic company, we remain committed to ensuring that Amgen is the best place for diverse talent to thrive.  In turn, we recognize that this will only strengthen the culture of innovation for Amgen as we work to serve our patients.

We are on a journey to build a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging. We are making progress on that journey through a set of integrated actions.
