Jasper van Grunsven is senior vice president of Amgen’s Rare Disease portfolio. He is also responsible for Amgen’s Global Customer Capabilities and Customer Data & Analytics teams.

Van Grunsven has more than 20 years in the biopharmaceutical industry with experience across multiple geographies, therapy areas, and capabilities. Prior to this role, he held the position of vice president and general manager of the U.S. General Medicines business.

Van Grunsven previously served as vice president of Global Customer Capabilities and was responsible for Data & Analytics, Digital, Marketing Excellence, Field Excellence & Training, Commercial Operations, Patient Support, Devices and Companion Diagnostics. He has served as the vice president of Commercial & Innovation in the company’s Asia Pacific region and has held roles as general manager for Amgen’s U.S. Cardiovascular and Nephrology business units in addition to being general manager for Amgen in The Netherlands.

Before joining Amgen, van Grunsven held a variety of sales, marketing and access roles at other biopharmaceutical companies.

He holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Maastricht University in The Netherlands.
